Well I suck anyways, so it's not much help for me...
I could beat people with 0 ping before. And listen, I'm not trying to start something, but if they are trying to win they are not going to be tricked into attacking you first. Optional and I had several minute-long standoffs just sitting there until I got bored and got my ass kicked for swooping. I don't see how it is improved, the 1.0 system would be improved if hits weren't based on ping, that's all. This whole KI system doesn't work well.Originally posted by Sonic Boyster
So before people with low pings could ball up and play defensive and do the exact same thing or they could charge at you *first* and do the exact same thing. Now it is just whoever sits around, and they lose their advantage once you make them start actually fighting back. The new system is greatly improved, there is no doubt, even if it has its own issues.
5) Energy seems to burn a hell of a lot faster now. I can't even swoop once without having to recharge. I used to be able to go for minutes at a time with only small bursts here and there. OK Heres a question- Why did the esf team make the already too big non-swoop zone (I'm refering to when your so close to a character, you cant swoop) bigger?! I really think the zone should be cut down, even more then it was in 1.0. I'm sick of not being able to boost at someone, and at the last second they move back and swoop at me!

You always have to stop if that's all you can do. You people are confusing and hell about this stuff. Just because something *can* happen doesn't mean it always *will* happen. You *can* ball up and somehow managed to swoop right into me while I'm teleporting at you from far away, but it would be *impossible* for you to do it every time, and once you start moving you're vulnarable.
You people will ***** about anything. I don't see one god damn person saying "I had a 300 ping and I loved beta 1.0's melee so much more than 1.1" and if they do they're lieing. Beta 1.1's melee is smoother, slicker, and no longer based only on ping. If you are too scared to attack anyone that's your own problem. I have no problem taking the offensive in 1.1 .
SSJ just feels godly now because they don't have to recharge nearly as much, and in a head-on-head the SSJ will have more KI, and burn half as much, and will get the hit.Originally posted by V'

1.)head on collisions be based on two factors Hp and distance covered by player.I think that would help a lot. The only flaw I see is for the people who get beamed during a melee fight and go from 100 to 10 hp.I guess that could work out. It wouldnt matter how much Health you had just how much of the HP bar is filled.
2.)Swoop zones need to be redited.I suggest making them smaller than 1.0 or at least the same.
3.)Beams are fine.Multi PSing should be set as default for a new server.
4.)SSjs should be not made invincible.A skilled person should be able to kill him with effort.
5. Keep the .8 second thing.

You know that I meant in 1.1. With the exception of people like Lite or Groovy, I haven't seen anyone do it wihtout getting at least to within one hit of death with the other guy. I'm not an advocate of sitting around either, mix it up and try to freak them out, but my point is its far too easy for them to just sit there and hit you. It's almost like countering all over again. No, it isn't a contradiction. I make myself vulnarable because I'm not a pansy like the people you're talking about. I scare them out of hiding by getting around or behind them. If you get close enough they can't swoop, remember. No, it doesn't always work, but neither does sitting on one place waiting for someone to come at you.
