Additional moves when using the sweet Double Tap Swoop.

Ex.

Double Tap Swoop- Right, then hit the main melee button. At the end of this strafing swoop the fighter does a 360 roundhouse kick toward the right.

Double Tap Swoop- Down, then hit the main melee button. At the end of this downward swoop the fighter does a forward flip heel drop.

It would add a bit more variety to melee, and make blocking (and sometimes turtling) more difficult. If the hit boxes are placed well, a DTS"R" (Double Tap Swoop "Right") melee could only be stopped if your blocking the foot and not the attacker. Same with DTS"L", DTS"D", and DTS"U".

Also, less dependancy on aiming with you targeting sprite, which is a plus in melee.

So you're asking for different melee animations for each double tap swoop? Wouldn't that drag out the production of 1.2? Or do you mean adding back in the old smashes and reassigning the old smash animations?

Yes, a different melee animation for each DTS. If any of the old smash animations could be used to produce the same effect, then perfect; saves time.

It probably would drag out the production of 1.2, but it doesn't have to be introduced in 1.2; it could come later. It looks like the team is still playing with other melee ideas (throws, melee struggles and combos) for 1.2 anyway.
