That was the worst part of it all.. Admittingly, I have little knowledge about America itself, but come on.. this kind of arrogance had better not be representative for the rest of the Americans. The video's clearly edited, although the responses that ARE shown show me some messed up views and opinions of people that are clearly not even qualified to answer those questions. It's amazing how badly some people want to see Bush nuke the crap out of Middle Eastern countries, support his so-called "war on terrorism" (I like to call it "His plan to stay in office") and vote for the numbnuts even though they have no idea what the state of the world outside the American borders is. It's that kind of mindless people that should be stripped of their right to vote.

****, the current state of youth and politics scares me in england, we had a tutor ask a full class of 17 year old students (1 year from being able to vote) what left and right wing were and they all just stared blankly, then with the following explanation, they didn't understand terms such as socialism and capitalism. They also didnt know what the hell propaganda is, frightening thing was my tutors couldnt even explain it, and I had to tell the whole class. They didnt even know what the main political parties stood for either.

Horrifying imo.

in america here we have ridiculous ammounts of patriotism, despite the lack of confidence in our government. the thing is we dont have to know **** cause when something bad happens every race and gender in our country get together to figure out an answer (or annihilate another country). im not sure if this is bad or good but its something im quite proud of.

It's bad, and it's why we're in Iraq. It would be nice if we waited until all of the information we've been fed can be verified by outside sources before saying, "FOR AMERICA! BLOW EVERYTHING UP RIGHT NOW!" I'm not a fan of uniting to kill everyone.

Less and less people are making the distinction between the actual country and its government, since the government determines the country's policies. However, they're forgetting about the people who populate the country in that line of thinking (They voted for X person, so they must agree with everything they do).

I support the idea of America, and what America was supposed to be about, and I still have faith and hope that we'll eventually return to higher ground. I think you can support the country and despise the government on a local scale, but once it becomes global, it becomes much harder to say "America is awesome but the government is horrible" when the government is blowing **** up in the name of America.
