Tampa Bay Lightning just won the coveted prize in hockey, Lord Stanley's Cup. Post comments here. Personally I think they deserved it, Calgary did not play like they truly wanted it until the third period. Congradulations to Lightning and Calgary (for beating the Detroit Red Wings).

You cannot argue that Calgary did not deserve to win the cup tonight. As harsh as it might sound, when your star player Iginla gets 1 shot in 2 periods you're in trouble.

Andreychuk deserved it, 22 years of playing NHL and not winning the prize, longest wait in history, no one deserved it more than him.

I said it before, I'll say it again. In game 6, the goal should have counted, but, when it's such a controversial call, the refs never want to end the Stanley Cup like that.

I saw it, you could argue either way, the puck very well could have been on an edge. But it's not like Calgary are losers, they are the Western Conferance champions, with teams like the Wings, Avs and Sharks in the west that is a feat in itself.

Damn those Lightning. I have to give them recognition though, they played like they wanted it, Calgary just didn't come out tonight. Though I didn't think they had a chance, there's was in game 6, but sadly, they missed it. At least they poured on strong at the end.

Anyways, my hats off to the lightning, and Andreychuk, he really deserved it. Just wish Calgary sealed the deal in game 6.

Can't score a goal off of a skate so it wouldn't have mattered. I wanted the Flames to win but they didn't pull through... my whole family wanted Tampa to win. Also the officials seemed to be on Calgary's side where they got lucky and scored. And now that attention has grown toward Hockey here in Florida more people will probably go to like Semi-Pro Hockey league games that my bro plays goalie in.

Actually you can score a goal off a skate, as long as there is no definitive kicking motion, meaning the skate was used as something to be banked off of, and not intentionally kicked in.
