ummm...so you took a screen, cut it out, made it brighter and pasted it on a ugly BG and you call it a recolor? Try doing somthing where you have to do a bit more then hit ctrl+u...

the original image looks a lot better saturation wise - you've mis-coloured it

Well, I can't help it but I also like the original better ... and I think that when you do something like re-coloring that your goal is to make the image better ...
