I had to go fill up my dads car (well, we both built it so its ours) and it was 31.02 to fill it up. Its crazy man. I aint going anywhere if I dont have to. I bet the people with the hybrids are glad thats what they drive.

Lol and someone got arrested because they tried stealing gas, it was pretty funny.

6 a gallon dollars here in GA
6/(gallon*$)... okay then.

What I dont understand is why the cost of gas is $1.30/L ($4.37/gallon w/exchange) in Halifax, up some 30 cents overnight, when most of Canadas oil come from Canada. The only direct effect Katrina had on Canada was some heavy rain. This is price gouging and nothing less. If you were to buy a smart car, and perform the aftermarket modifications to up gas milage, it would pay for itself in little time with these prices. I just cant wait to see how this affects utilities. I bet even my high speed service goes up.

This is a side note, but did these people not know there was a hurricane coming? Sure looks like alot of people were cought off gaurd by a trackable weather system :S . And what is with people climbing into their attics when the water is rising?

Yeah. This is the ultimate screwjob. I make $13.50 an hour, and work 20 hours a week, but work 20 miles away. Because of this, I may have to quit the job I have spent my whole adult life trying to get--because I simply will not be able to keep driving there, and there is no other way there.

As it is I barely break even beause of gas and food. Now no matter how much I make the money is slowly dwindling anyway.

I may have to go work at McDonald's on the side just for gas money.

And I have a college education.

Hahaha, you guys should live in Holland, we got the highest gas/oil/fuel prices in the world.

€1,35 euro per liter.(Not GALLON, 1 liter is 0,26 gallon)
Or €5,10 EURO a gallon, so that times 1,2x = $6,12 a gallon in Holland.

So really, if you complain about your gas prices, think about us :X
