it's most notable on the legs. Particularly the upper left leg, the lines i think are supposed to veins, but they're really looking more like vegatation growing up his leg.

You sir, have made my day! Frieza will be the most bad-ass looking guy ever.

I think by keeping the two set of eye's, it gives cell more of a bug look and kinda sets him part from what Akima did. If you only added the arms, then it wouldn't be much of your own creation.

The texture looks great, really realistic. I'm loving the design, especially the feet, 'wings' and tail. The head looks a little silly to me though, a bit too thin and tall. It doesn't look 'ninja' enough. :p Y'know, sleek, fast, etc.

I think it'd be neat if more people tried modelling their own interpretations of characters.

Thanks. I'll try making the overlay less opaque, and I'll check out the some refs so I don't have the same problem in the future

no man what i ment is like frieza and buu ( well you did buu) but what i mean is just the others of dbz ^^ i like your take just throw a little darker stuff in there a little gothic ya know ^^

personaly I think that the cranial head part... would look much cooler if it met down to his musle "mouth part"

and here is why.. it would make him more alian without eyes.. you can put eyes.. but would be hard to see...

I think it look cooler with that small differencial element

Nice model man, happy to see people being creative

Actually I see only one problem. With your concept the points on the head are small and... well pointed. In your model, they are much larger and in a way, kinda of over power the head of your cell model. Save your model now and then go and edit it and save it under a different name and then compair the two. This might help you out a bit.

tbh the double arms and the new face dont really add anything to the character, if anything they detract from it. those legs are ****ing pwn though

just creating an image of what he would look in my head, it looks much more stylized with only the top arms. also if you gave him somewhat of an arched back afterwards it may help give him back some of the insect-like appearance. (like the giant bugs in re4)

the face also, if your trying to do your own version of him thats fine, its just that the face itself doesnt really "scream" imperfect cell like the rest of it does, I dunno if its too late to say it, (seeing as you already skinned it) i think it would also help add to the character if you made his face a little closer to the original imperfect cell. at least to inject some of his original "character" back into the model.


oh and the current versin of esf would support that model just as well as 1.3 would, unless im missing something anyways.

1.3 just has the option to swap between original and custom models ingame, (again, unless im missing something)

if you really did want to throw him ingame, you would have to either edit the existing skeleton (alot) or make a whole new one from scratch, (i think your only problem would be bone names for animation blending) and remake every single animation as well

ok,...i have to say, that head looks like crap, both modelling wise and skinning...

but the rest of it is reeeally weel done, clean mesh, nice polygon flow, and sweet texturing, there's jsut that part on the ankles where that shell goes over the part of the foot.

and the head..i maybe wrong, i haven't seen a piicture of that cell in a long time. if that's how it accually looks like then dont' mind what i said about it. but it just doesn't looke right some how

edit lol, i just checked to see..and i noticed that's not even cells body.

well it doens't look like cell but it's still a good model.

i personally think its awsome..u added hands and claws...its a really good take on cell..and pretty well dont imo..the only thing i dont like..is the second pair of eyes..i mean..have 4 eyes isnt too bad..but the way they are put on there just doesnt collide well with the rest of the model
but thats just imo

Maybe you should have read his post before you commented instead of only looking at the pictures?

The legs and torso are good, but there's two things that bug (omg pun) me:

1) The eyes are really too small. I'd reccomend sticking to one pair of eyes and making them larger, or moving one of the pairs to another part of the body. This is more of a personal dislike in the design, not the model itself.

2) The 'mouth' and 'ears' look like they've been stuck on top of the rest of his head. They don't fit with the rest of the head, it looks like he's wearing a surgeons mask.

Otherwise it's a very nice idea, the concept is cool and original.
