Check to make sure all background programs that arent needed are shutdown, including Kazaa. If all else fails, you can try to overclock your video card/processor. I dont recommend it, but it helped me a little (www.extremeoverclocking.com).

You should tell us what Video card you have for starters . . . that's the only way we can help.

Integrated?

D3D should not be run in less than 600x480, that's the smallest you can go without errors in OGL too. You should actually upgrade your vid card to a PCI model if you have to.

What OS are you using, if you have WinXP you can attempt a driver rollback, otherwise, unistall the software and reinstall it with the older driver. You're slow framerate is beacuse of the poor GPU that SiS uses, you won't do much by running it in a lower res.

Steps to Identifying Video Card :
1 : Right click on your desktop.
2 : Goto settings.
3 : Look for this... and thats it.

That's something a little indepth, you may have to bring your comp to a professional to have it upgraded fixed. If you don't understand it, your likely to mess your system up more by trying to fix it.

That's what I was talking about, buying a new video card. Get a GeForce MX, it's your best bet ATM. What main processor do you have?

Processor being the main cpu, like Intel Pentium 4, or AMD Athlon XP 2500+. You should have some documentation, or you can look in my computer's properties to find it. A GeForce can cost ya, but if you have a slow processor you can safely get an old one for a bit of a boost.

Right, get a GeForce2 MX, it's cheap, but it'll do the trick. The celeron is your processor. The models install in your models directory, and you can either overwrite the original model, or simply type a command in the console to change them, I don't remember the c_var at the moment.
