Help on lag connection problem - and Im the happiest man on ESF!

and not "LAG connection"...

whenever I try to Join My Bro's game on our lan
or he to mine

I get a messege like this exactly:

"you cannot connect to a server
running custom game esf until you
install the custom game"

"OK" "CANCEL"

blah

tell me how to solve this and I will be the happiest man !

cause thats the only thing that stands between me and esf and my bro...

(and pleeeaase dont tell me to reinstall , I tried that too many times
including HL itself and XP once[reinstalled XP with no connection to ESF
but the problem was not solved] instead of reinstalling gimmi a solution!!)

are you and your bro running the same version of the game? are you and your bro running any kind of mod 4 the game or anything like that?

We have exactly the same ver...

and by saying "mod" - yes of course!
this is ESF forum , isnt it?
we try to connect to eachother while using the gr8 ESF mod!

please help us emerge the connection!

both entries for game in "liblist.gam" has to be equal .. then HL knows which folder is the mod folder

since that there is no liblist.gam file in the HL dir itself I know

that you mean the one in Half-Life\ESF DIR

I am still waiting for a good answer!
if I am being ignored because of my past double posting issue
or that big signature I had and was banned from editing the source of it...

if its anything I've done to make this forum angry with me then I am deeply sorry

anyway there is no chance that the problem is that file(liblist.gam)
cause it is exactly the same in my PC and in his!

just to make sure , I copypaste the source of it

and its bugs wont let me

for example: C : \Sierra\Half-Life\ESF\cl_dlls
this is the folder for client... if you just browsed yourself you would have realized this!

the first thing I'd like to say is that I DO HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF HALF LIFE!

and the second thing - how have you made the connection between the words
"Costum Game" and a none latest version of halflife???
this is very interesting!!

again , I am asking a real answer from someone that actually understands
my problem and knows how to solve it!

YUP! thats the liblist we both have , exactly the same as posted above!
maybe the new bots instalation interfears with the recognization of ESF by HL?
maybe I should try to gamedll "dlls\hl.dll" instead of
"dlls\esf_bot.dll"??

Any way, I finally understood that the reason that me and my bro cant
connect to eachother's lan games is because our HL cant get that we both
have ESF , it sees it as some sort of other mod!
since we both have same instalation then I think that the problem is in the source!
as I've said reinstalling wont work , probably my instalation of ESF isnt
completing the info of it's' mod correctly!

maybe I need a .REG file to finish it of?
I dunno , neways I will try what I said in the top of this post

and still waiting for something that will work!
(BTW I am very sorry if it seems that there is no easy solution to my problem and thanking all who tried to help so far,
I hope I'll finish this soon!)
