Fastest,most powerful Graphiccard at the moment?

Get a AMD 64 3000+ Athlon, with a ATI 128mb 9800xt. My friend has it, and can run Doom 3 on ultra high. We even fought the final boss to test it out, not a single proplem.

I don't really care if you choose nVIDIA or ATI, they are the two best makers. They have the two best cards. It is win/win either way, really.

Ya, like most people have said, pick either the 6800 ultra or the x800 xt. There both so kick ass that no matter which one you pick, you probably wont notice any differences for the time being.

If you want my personal opinion though, i'd say go with the x800 xt, a platinum edition if you can find it. But again, you won't be dissapointed with either company's card.
