VALVe are just about the most disorginized group of developers i've ever seen. I have very little doubt that they'd mess with the game so much that they would ruin its original status of innovativity and fun.

Did we just not explain that they will not be touching the source code. All they will be doing is putting ESF into My Games allowing ESF to auto-update itself, have a working icon on the friends list and just be much more professional then if it were a Third Party Mod.
