I deleted and created a new post just to let you know, I didn't double post.

Anyways I'll get a server hosted so you all can play and stuff. I'd really love it to play with someone on Alpha 2.0!

You extracted "fmod.dll" in the ESF folder?, And overwritten the one that already exists? (make a backup of the older fmod.dll)

To these people who don't read signatures: the IP to my server (probably the only one that can be hosted to public) is 172.16.1.35:27016

Awesome, you're hosting an Alpha 2.0 server? You're great, I'm probably gonna visit it to give 2.0 a shot. :p

I can not get it to work at all. I keep on getting that Client.dll error no matter how many times I replace the Fmod.dll.

I have replaced the fmod.dll (and backed mine up), but the problem was with creating a server. Ill try again to see if I can join one.

I extracted the files to SteamApps/Half-Life in it's own folder (alpha2.0_steam_compatible). In the .rar file though when I open it up it has a folder called esforces, a text file alpha2.0credits, and esf alpha fmod.dll. Within the esforces folder there is another .rar called alpha2.0_steam_compatible.

When you put "esf alpha fdmon.dll" into your HL folder, rename it "fmod.dll".

I had this problem too, and this fixed it.

It doesn't matter, just remove it the extra rar file thing. I rushed it.

k I extracted everything in the rar to my half-life folder and backed up the current fmod file, deleted it, and then renamed esf alpha fmod to fmod. but is it not working, it is a game of half-life and the place where you bind keys in options is screwed up (there's nothing there). what do I do to get this working?
