ESF 1.2 Instalation problems

I'm trying to install ESF on steam.
On the manual it says the first step is too install steam *DONE*

2) Run Half-Life once so that Steam has the files and directories required by ESF's installer. *DONE*

3) Install ESF beta 1.2 using the installer from this page. This is where i have the problem, it gets up to a file called gamestartup.mp3 and the installation stops working, the little file animation is still moving but if i click anything or move my mouse i just get the message saying [Not Responding]

Can anyone help?

Perhaps its the installation file. Maybe you should try dling from a different location (i suggest filefront).

Dont click your mouse any, just run the installation and go make a sandwitch or something. I had the same problem with 1.1, I thought it was freezeing but then i left it be for like 10 minutes and it finished. Just run the installation, and step away for a few minutes.

Right ive got it installed but when i jopin a game on steam,the second it finishes precaching resources i get the half life launcher encounted a problem send error report thingy

Anyone know how i can fix this

Try changing video modes/resolution, Scan Disk or finding an installer that doesnt do that (dunno if its the installer)
