error with special beam cannon

whenever i or someone else in the same server as me uses special beam cannon esf closes itself and i get an error message that says...
Cache wad indexed before load decals.wad: 23552
any idea on what to do, or if there is a patch to fix it?

i think maybe if you try using a custom sbc or it might fix itself if you reinstall it or download it from a different location or just download it altogether again

i fixed it i had nothing to do with custom sbc it was cause i had the video on software so i changed it to direct 3d and now its all good

some people cant use opengl and opengls only better if your running something completely dependent on it (which i cant) otherwise d3d is better just opengl is more stable

i also have this problem but sometimes my comp. hangs when i use special beam cannon of either cell or piccolo. so if u set it to direct 3d, everything is solved?

not everything, there may be some visual defects; if your card is capable of using opengl, switch to opengl, but dont use Software Mode
