Decided to pick this game up today. Seems pretty cool so far.
One question though; how in the hell do you stop the finishers where they dash towards you and pummel you with a combo? I'm playing a level with Gohan vs Frieza, and Frieza keeps raping the attack, and I can't find any way to stop it. It's really starting to piss me off now.

I know.

You can intercept it with a finisher of your own, or you can teleport out of the way by pressing the O (circle) button right before he dashes into you. The latter is much trickier. If you can, I suggest you just try to intercept it with a Kamehameha or whatever your character has. While he's swooping at you, he can't do anything to block your attack, so if you time it right, you'll hit him full-on, and he won't be able to evade because he's already doing his attack.

Alright everyone, so i just started story mode for the first time you guys. It's going alright so far, passed up plenty of dragonballs instead of picking them up, but who cares. But now, i just barely beat Cooler or whatever his name is and a smile came across my face as i rememberd what happen not too long ago when i went up against frezia After going SSJ the first time and he didn't get one hit off of me.

So im all like ya know, im going to beat the crap out of this guy, but....100% gate done?? What the hell is up with that, i beat him once and that's a 100% for that gate? that was one of my favorite movies and i wanted too fight him with SSJ Goku. And does metal Cooler not exsist? And on top of that, i figured i would just go too versus or something and play with him but nooo.....unlike everyone else, you don't win him after kicking his ass and i think im missing bardock as well.

Is this a glitch or something, did this happen to anyone else or is this just apart of the game? also the damn music keeps cutting off in the middle of dragon rushes in the US version. And for some reason, the music is not only bad, but louder then the actual voices as well even after trying to adjust it.

And you have to fuse certain items to get character, i.e "Kakarot+hatred of saiyans=Bardock"

Once I got a Goku with Instantaneous Transmission, it became my favortie move..Automatically teleporting towards the opponent from any distance

I love the After Image move, but Goku's Instant Transmission is great also. :3

After Image, if I'm correct, allows you to automatically dodge incoming beam attacks. It does the work for you.

I found out what it does when playing against a friend of mine earlier today. I've not tested it after that since we were busy fighting with a lot of different characters, but I'm pretty sure that's what it does. :3

After image or teleporting in general will not work on big ball type attacks tho, spirit bomb, 100% deathball, super nova etc, i used it as kid goku, and got hit everytime lol.

Ok i beat ultimate battle mode, hardest setting the item u get isn't really worth it, but it does help alot in fights, miracle z is better imo.

The fights got REALLY nasty, the comp got waaay smarter, and i will try and break down what chars tend to spam more beams then others.

Burter, he will run and beam u till he is out of ki, then run charge beam again.
Krillin, the short guy doesn't really have much of a choice =(, tho hearing hya hya hya kienzan! got really irritating.
Guldo, needless to say u know he beams.
Scouter+SSJ2 vegeta Both are beam spammers.
Trunks USSJ, he does some beam spamming but it isn't too bad.
Super 17, android 18, android 19, android 20, android 17, BEAM BEAMS BEAMSS!, Unlimited ki basically, so expect alot of balls to be flying.
Android 16, he continuously spams the charge up beam, kind of sad.
Choautzu, Sorry if name is mispelt, all he does is spam ki blast, from the start to the finish.
Frieza form 3, beamalicious!

There are alot more, but these are the only ones that i encountered alot of problems with, others beam spam yes, but not constantly or rapidly, just enough to stun u and get a melee combo off.

The same thing happens with Baby vs SSJ4 Goku, if Baby wins he says something in Japanese.

man, the bots/NPCs sound terrible! so many beam spammers I expected them to be though, you can tell in all the videos that the bots/NPCs are coded to avoid mele and keep beaming

So now im entering passwords given too me from people who maxed out their character's in B3, but none of them seem to be working at all. Are you suppose to have the b3 file on your memory card or something for it too work or what, i mean don't tell me i have to go back to B3 and max out them myself because i really don't want too play that game anymore ?

On another note, anyone notice some of the little aspects that make this game feel like the show even more? I swear, when i played with " SSJ Goten " for the first time yesterday, and activated " False Courage " yesterday, and took a death ball head on across the map, and barley moved an inch still standing their in his cool stance, i felt like i was really a SSJ.

It isn't so funny when hercule does it and lives through a BBKHW100x -_-.

Pump up is a nice skill too.

My favorite Favorite Move p) is Explosive Wave. It's awesome for when you're getting comboed but don't have the time or skill to dodge quickly enough. Fire up an Explosive Wave and you buy yourself some time AND damage your opponent.

instant transmission is very dbz-like. A giant energy ballblast is comming for you, the camera aligns to the center, goku puts his ginfer to his head, and right before it hits him, he teleport behind the person, letting him do any attack he wants.

And the best part is, depending on the attack the enemy fired at you (let's say, Spirit Bomb, it has a long recover time), you can easily take your time and 0wnz0r your enemy with whatever uber attack you have. :3
