When I first got the game, I was a bit frustrated at the controlls. After a few verses matches, I finally tapped out of the budokai 3 stage and began morphing into the tenkachi format. It's a pretty good overall game once you get used to the controlls.

Yeah, I get less pissed off now that I know the controlls alot better. What really pisses me off though is when the AI keeps doing the same thing, over and over and over and over...
Pretty solid game though, I just wish the levels were bigger and there were more of them.

I'm amazed that Ia ctually got onto my computer to say this.

I got this game on my birthdar (25th) and I couldn't keep my hands off. Almost said I was sick to play that game even more but.... I had to take a test... damn tests...

Anyway, this game = godly... so far ever level I have played is 100% ^.^ And I'm currently fighting Bojack..

Solid game with alot of fun.

Yes the level boundaries can be quite anoying. Here I am knocking a person about, then a wall appears and I sometiems had to start over. I see famous objects in the background, i.e Freiza's ship, but I can't even get close to it =/

On the Annihilatrix.
It really pisses me off when im kicking ass then out of nowhere the computer takes over and he punches you 4 or 5 times then he does that energy outburst thing (its hard to explain, [square+square+square+square+triangle]) and he does that about 6 or 7 times in a row then if your lucky, you get the upper hand.

Heh, it happens to everyone, you'll get the idea of getting out of this situation as you practice.
Ive realised this game is all about timing...i mean, timing is everything there, you need to time your teleportations, your attacks, your defences...almost everything.

Now set the comp on to its hardest setting, come back and say you did that, then i will be impressed =P.

By the time u teleport in the hardest mode, the comp is already looking at you, no matter how fast you think you are.

I actually didn't believe the comp could teleport the entire 50 hits of the hellstorm till i saw it for my own eyes, he did it and left me with my mouth dropped.

WHAT THE HELL?

Tele-****ing-ported the entire Hell's Storm attack? o_O

I've seen the computer teleport all of Buu's Genocide Beam shots, but wtf?

Yeah, if you want a good challenge, put the computer up to a high setting. You'll get owned. They get godly at melee.

Is the game kind of like ESF but with bigger environments? I mean is it like sagas and the budokai's combined but with huge maps? I hope it is. I was going to get it on the day it came out but my mom owes me money and doesnt have extra to get my game! ;(

Actually, ESF's maps appear bigger than Tenkaichi's. And... it's not like Sagas, but it is similar to the previous Budokai games. I don't recommend it, honestly.

Well, here's the low down truth. For a game that boasts you have free roaming ability, there really isn't anywhere to go. The biggest map takes about 2-3 seconds to swoop across. It's a major let down.

But on the bright side, it's just such a damn fun game that you really don't even notice the small maps once you get good at melee. I've been playing for hours even after unlocking everything just fighting computers on the hardest mode. The battles just look so cool with all the teleporting and blocking, even if you do get pwned. ^^

My suggestion, rent, don't buy. Wait until they bring out another version that supports online play before buying. Otherwise there's not much point to the game after you unlock everything. And you can unlock everything in about 5 days of casual gaming.

Budokai Tenkaichi dosen't have online play, Kama suggested that the next one (if they make another one, which is almost a certernty) will probbably have online. BKT having online play was just a confused rumor from this site that put it in the game info stats with a tick in online.

And hopefully it will have the JPN music. I hate having to make an ISO of my game, download the JPN version, and re-burn a backup copy with JPN music, JPN intro, and JPN voices.

It has the original Budokai 3 music unfortunately.

lol, worth it tho?
This game is worth it. There are things you will notice that will irritate you such as the CPU repeatedly doing the same hand-to-hand combat combination. Not to mention the survival missions can get extremely frustrating.

I hate reviving old threads, but i also hate remaking old threads, so i dunno where to post it.

But a regular on DBZonps2 forums made a tenkaichi video showing the game can look good in the sense of speedy fights, and it does require alot of skill to do some of the stuff they did, down to the dodging in between the ki blasts, to the direct in face beamsto teleporting.

I esp liked the part where goku and vegeta were in a melee fight and they kept teleporting, it looked sweet, this fight seems like something that would be in the series besides the missed FF and all the super explosive waves.
