Dedicated 1.3 Open Beta Server

Don't know if this is the right forum but here goes.

For some time now all I see was people making some "on the fly" servers from their PCs (that caused lag and when they wanted to leave well you know ), anyway since I had some time and some spare boxes I have created a dedicated server for ESF 1.3 Open Beta @ 85.17.217.5:27015.

If any of you are interested to pop in from time to time and throw couple of punches and Ki attacks feel free to join .

Any suggestions are welcome.

Small downtime due to machine upgrade, now it should be up and running normal again.

hmm i have the last version of esf but i get this error ''This server is using a newer protocol ( 48 ) than your client ( 47 ). You should check for updates to your client.''
any sugestions ?

Are you using Steam?

If you are, it might just need to be updated in which case restarting steam should do the trick. If that's not the problem, I don't know whats wrong.

hmm well i am runing it on cs 1.6 ( dont know what version that makes half life) and i dont think i have any steam actualy im shure i dont the game just starts no steam thing ..

i was under the impression that ESF is not garanteed to operate correctly using CS instead of HL. If i recall, the HLcore was edited and repackaged for CS

Buy it for $10 through Steam. That used to be £5 a few months ago .

That's not terribly likely to work with Steam. The retail "version" is far more reliable and talking about that kind of stuff isn't really allowed on the forums.

As been mentioned above, it won't work. Though we do appreciate the kind of you making a server. Just downloading games doesn't mean it'll work online, especially with Steam. I'm afraid piracy / warez is also against the rules on the forums, so please do not speak of such here. If you bought Half-Life either in a local store or through steam, you are very welcome ask for help.

Steam update screwed up the server so I had to bring it down for couple of hours, it should be up and running now.
If there are any more problems just write em here.
