Um, no. Genesis/Megadrive had better sales and longevity than SNES/Super FamiCom did worldwide, SNES just happened to do better in the US.

Are you sure about that one? Nintendo's profits from the SNES seem to have kept them afloat ever since the N64 got whooped by sony. And sega died pretty quick after the saturn and dreamcast....(sniff....poor dreamcast)

This thread has long gotten off topic, it was originally about the PSP and the DS, now it's about Genesis vs SNES sales, it's time for it to die.
