Custom Models on My Server

i have a handfull of models. i'd like people to be able to download them from me and be able to vie them in my game.

can anyone tell me how to do this.

you can on the specialists. i've downloaded lots of stuff from people ranging from sounds to models to sprites to whatever.

i thought its like if you have a model, it doesnt matter what model the server is using.
but
if you dont have this specific model (like, delete your goku.mdl) you will dl the one from the server...

no itwould be possible to download "Alternate" models and such that a server sets, like bardock model that replaces goku so everyone sees the bardock and so on. but doesnt delete the "goku.mdl"

I've been to a server that replaced some of my models and sprites. It was right after 1.2.2 came out and I thought the team had changed some things. Silly me. I prefered the defaults though and I think it's wrong for a server admin to force you to replace things. Maybe it's just me.

If you got new models only YOU can see them... all other got default models.. or their own custom model.....
You cant make a server where they need to download new models.. If they delete they models and then join YOUR server then maybe they get your models ?

it IS possible to have custom things shown to everyone else if the server is set up so, i myself dont know how to do it, it wouldnt "replace" (as in delete old file) anything, would be in like the cache orsomewhere, i know many other games that do it, dunno if HL can.

If the person doesn't have a specific sound, sprite, model, whatever then they will download what ever it is needed from the server. That's the only way, if you want a friend to have it, well tell them to go to www.esf-world.com or www.redsaiyan.org to download it, or send it to him yourself.

noone reads what i put? Theres a way to do it, but i just dont know how. ive seen it done. i downloaded a ssj3 goku model in 1.1 days from a server, and it replaced ssjgoku only for that server, ifound the model in like a seperate folder. but it used that model instead of the original ssjgoku model. and it didnt replace it either. happened just on that server.

and i think cooler with freiza also.
