Someone posted something about adding a gig or two to it, to increase performance of ESF and other games. How was it, that you do it?

Don't bother, especially if you have XP. XP is really good at managing virtual memory heapsize, and the advantages of having a fixed file size are minimal thanks to faster drives.

If you have an older OS, you're better off sticking to somewhere between 250 and 500 MB, any more is a waste of storage.
