If we take all of 1.1 melee well the good of it and put it into 1.2 it would pwn.

Goods in 1.1 melee
Speed, Knockback speed, Teleports, Ki drain, unlimited hits, targetting

Goods in 1.2 melee
Double tap swoop, New Explosions, after images, no targetting, adv melee (should be speeded up alot though)

If we combine the good of 1.1 with 1.2 we allll would be happy.

BTW for those who ***** about teleports being exploits in 1.1 because of scripts.

If you were hit by a scripted tele it was your own fault for just standing there and not moving.

Hm. Not mentioning any names. I have seen plenty of people who complain about having 1.2 melee because they arent good at it. Im not saying any of you guys are complaining cuz of that. but most of the people i seen who said "PUT 1.1 MELEE IN" in esf werent good at 1.2 melee

well i like this guys advanced mellee idea....and im pretty sure that the knowck bgack speed is increaded in the 1.2 1 patch...cuz even though i use it myself at times...it is quite irrritating to be at the receiving end of it...cuz i mean if someone does it right..they can hit you, tele up or swoop up to you and hit you again..and then lets say u hit a wall or the ground..THEN they throw ki blasts or generic balls at you...lol....thats a little much dont u think...ive heard of people winning 1 on 1 fights by doing that double hit thing twice and shooting a gen ball after each double hit..thats just sad..anyways...yes i do agree with Jinks idea...its a good one...

Lemme guess you fought all of the people who said they don't like 1.1 right, and completely owned them? Yea right I doubt you have. Fight me, and you will think otherwise. Also

In the dbz shows most of the combos were the same animations over and over again. Sometimes you would see a combo that resulted in a big hit but mostly just the same animations over and over. When they changed the animations it was mostly during the teleport wars of big hits and beams.

Now onto adv melee. People say its easy to avoid and randoms blow chunks....thats true. The easy to avoid part is not that bad since fights should take more than 5 seconds. The problem with adv melee is that its too slow. We shouldn't be sitting there floating in mid air doing nothing while we wait for combo inputs. One way to do this is redesign the prepunch stage. Prepunches shouldn't do any damage or very little damage. Give it a constant punching/kicking animation while BOTH parties input commands at the same time. They get a certain amount of time to input their combo commands then we begin the blocking/dodging input. Now where this gets interesting is that during the blocking/dodging stage both parties are swinging and blocking in the same round. NO MORE TURN BASED MELEE! Now what happens is this...The first 1/5 of the combo bar is shown before the attack animations begin. The parties then input block commands and then the combos fly off. This keeps the block inputs ahead of the actual combos being done.

Going on with this new way of doing things is to have certain combos taking place like basic kick/punch animations and the arrows be like special hits with in these combo's. This is what you actually see during dbz...the same combos just they'll cut in a special sequence to the fighting. Have both parties puching kicking and inputing special arrows that appear for a slip second on the oppenents screen before landing. If the team took this approach for adv melee then we wouldn't have a problem with the speed of things

Also change simple melee back to 1.1 and allow the old combos and teleporting back. Cause in reality DBZ was all about the big hit tele then big hit.

There the whole problem is solved for everyone...o and I don't use adv. melee as its slow, mind numbling boring, and leaves you open to attack afterwards. I play on a server to fight everyone on the server not have separate 1v1s...its more fun that way.

Peace,
Jinks
This ^ Is a great suggestion the biggest problem is the team cares too much for the noobs then the big community thats been around longer then 7 year old noobs who only play for like a week get pwned, then leave. If they took pride in making a game that took "skill" then they would listen to suggestions coming from us. I ask the team this who are the more loyal fans the people who have been around here the longest? or the people who just started coming?

Told ya I solved the problem

As for noobs the action will be fast paced with good eye candy so it'll keep them around.

Peace,
