I noticed that when you charge the shield then hold alt fire and release it fires a ball of energy as show below: Can anyone explain to me what exactly this does?

When someone as Gohan uses their shield, and someone with a disk (I know it happens with krillin, not sure for frieza disks), and you kill Gohan with it, two sets of "guts" will appear, instead of one. (I.E Two sets of legs, and two torso's) Not a major bug, but something I noticed :p

1.i noticed that if the blast is too strong the shield has no effect and it crashes the server...but i still use the shield all the time. And i use that attack where u can absorb the attack and shoot it back ect... i was thinking....its pretty pointless, it does what, 1/10 of the damage...
