How do you convert .mdl to a .3ds format...plz help

Hey there, I got a question: I'm trying to edit a model in 3dsmax, but I can't import .mdl or .smd files. It wants a proper import module, which I can't find anywhere...... help please?

Ok, I visited the -=[AFC]=- clan's site and saw a tutorial on how to make a demo into a .avi, only bad thing it was in german or dutch, but I got the VideoMath program I just wondered if someone knows where a english tutorial on how to make a demo into .avi format, aight peace

Is there any way I could use a Trunks model that doesn't have his sword and have him use the animations of him without the sword and just regular melee? I don't care if people mysteriously gib for no reason, but I really miss the Armor Trunks models.

i always here how ppl convert things from 1.0 to 1.1 so i wanted to ask how did they do it cuz i want to convert trunks hair from 1.0 to 1.1*EDIT* how do i import without bons?

I recoreded a dem file for a ESF video im makin, but how do i convert it to a AVI Video to open in Movie Maker?O_o
