blending

Alright, one of the things I've NEVER been good at while sigging, is making the render blend into the background. Tried loads of things, even got some tips, but it never quite worked for me. Now I'm here, asking for some of your advice. I started to work on this. Once it got to blending...

I'm just wondering if 9 way blending will be in esf 1.3. I remember that it almost made it's way into 1.2 and I also recall darktooh saying that he's pimping out every model by giving them all around 70 bones for better animations. So... Will it be in 1.3?

This wallpaper is 881kb. Quite large, but hopefully 56k'ers wont mind...(i so hope). But this wallpaper's resolution top's is 1600x1200, so the quality is quite good, any resolution lower than that can be made real quickly. The background image is a stock foto I have had of the Columbus...
