Yeh they weren't too bad, read them for English in year 9, thought they were pretty decent. Short, but decent.

My favourite series though is the trilogy by Peter Watt, (in order) "Cry of the Curlew", "Shadow of the Osprey", and "Flight of the Eagle". Awesome books each one, I grew so attached to the characters that I actually cried when one of them died, and I don't cry very easily anymore. Though I doubt many people have heard of this series.

Bryce Courtenay is also good, with "The Power of One" and "Tandia" coming in as a close second to aforementioned trilogy. Plus "Tommo and Hawk"...cos I love cards and card games.

I had to read that back in grade 6, actually. I'd hate to disagree, but I simply couldn't stand the book...just not my cup of tea.
Aww, you didn't really like it? To me, it's a good book, and there's not nothing wrong with the story.
