I did that, for abaut 6 years (from age 6-12).
But i didnt search for gold or waged war on rap.
I didnt eaven play computer games back then, but i just hunted, for furr, meat and fun. (cought something only on two occasions, cause i hunted with a hand axe and couple of dogs, who were more interested in digging up mice than hunting, but then again i didnt take it seriously either)
