You cannot connect with an user with a diffrent protocol?

Um heya ^_^0 new here and suppose most would call me n00b or sumthing.. Oh well go ahead if you like..
But i figured i would need to post this cus i can`t figure out whats it about

0 whenever i try to connect to any esf server i get that message "Can`t connect with an user with diffrent protocol" or something.. not exact quote.. but it dun make much sense to me.. Whats wrong and how is it fixed? Thanks in advance and also sorry if its already been taken up.. please give a link to the thread if it has been posted already ^^0

im not sure, but i think theres a console command to change ur protacal, so er, bump, maybe someone knows it

I noticed i had not the latest halflife so i downloaded and upgraded.. before i upgraded i had no transformation sounds and power up sounds.. Now they work.. o.o and i can play on the net! WHOOT! ^ ^ um thanks anyhow..
