Wierd Installation Error

Yeah, so I finally snapped and downloaded 1.1... :smile:

Anyway, my problem is, when I activate the installation (it's the full version, not the patch) it opens and says it's 'Checking for previously installed components' then just freezes. It's done it 6 times now, and the last time I downloaded from a different mirror, with identical results.

I have no previous versions installed, and I have the latest version of Half-Life. I'm no good with this kind of thing, so I leave it up to you nice folks out there.

Just be patient that happen to me, It just takes a few mins.

I'll try it again then, but I think I waited half an hour once.

Well, usually you have to wait quite awhile. I waited 7 min before till it kicked in. If waiting doesn't help, I suggest re-downloading it from a different site then the one you got it from.

Also, I can't believe where I dl'ed my original copy, but when I dl'ed it the MP3 files were corrupt so if your installing them with the MP3 files, that could be another problem.
