DBZ: Super Butoden 1 SNES

Game Description

In this, the first Dragon Ball Z fighting game for the Super Famicom, we follow the adventures of Goku beginning with his fight against Piccolo at the Tenkaichi Budokai and ending with Gohan's battle against Perfect Cell.

The characters available for selection are Goku, Vegita, No. 20, No. 16, No. 18, Piccolo, Freeza, Cell, Trunks, Gohan, Perfect Cell, Super Saiyan Goku, and Super Saiyan Vegita. It is also rumored that with a lot of work, Mr. Satan is playable!

As in other Dragon Ball Z fighting games you may play through a story mode, selecting which fighter to pit against each opponent, or you can play one on one against a buddy or computer opponent. There is also a Tenkaichi Budokai mode, in which you can play against 8 friends or computer opponents in a tournament to see who's the best fighter of all.

This game was the first article of Dragon Ball Z merchandise I ever purchased, and at the time it was incredibly innovative. The characters could fly up or away from their opponent with the use of an innovative split screen effect, and special moves were thrown from great distances with spectacular results. No other game had ever done this. This is the only Dragon Ball Z fighting game to have Android No. 20 (Dr. Gero) in it, and he has a nifty block that allows him to absorb energy attacks and turn them into life points. It is also the only game to include Cell in a non-perfect form. Another cool touch is that it is possible to blow Piccolo's arm off and watch as it grows back. This happens on occasion when he fails to repell an energy attack with his hand. With the extra character code entered you can choose to be either regular Goku and Vegita or play them as Super Saiya-jin.

However, If you've played any of the Dragon Ball Z games that have come out since this one, you will most likely be very disappointed. The characters are small, the movement is jerky, and the super energy attacks seem puny. Charging up power is a long and tedious process as you really just have to wait. Sometimes the super moves and blocks seem hard to pull off, and cheap players can keep the other guy down just by flying into them over and over again.

DBZ: Super Butoden 2 SNES

SB2 Clips

Game Description

This fighting game chronicles the events that take place during the battle against Cell, and includes a side story about Borjack and his minions (who Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and Vegita battled in the 9th Dragon Ball Z movie). Play as Super Saiyan Level 2 Gohan, Piccolo, Vegita, Mirai Trunks, Cell, Cell Jr., Borjack, or Zangya. After entering a secret code, Goku and Broly are also available as playable characters.

There are 3 modes of play, including a story mode which lets you choose different paths and changes depending on the outcome of battles, a one on one versus mode, where you can battle single round matches against a friend or the computer, and a Tenkaichi Budokai Tournament mode in which you and/or your friends choose your champion and see who can fight their way through all of the matches to become the "Strongest Under the Heavens."

Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and the gang must travel all over the Earth, finding these machines and destroying them. In the final battle, Trunks and Vegita arrive to help the others fight many enemies that had been defeated long ago, such as Freeza, Slug, Taurus, and Cooler! Some People even call this game the Lost DBZ Ep or Movie.

DBZ: The Plan to Destroy the Saiyans Part 2

PTDTS2 Clips

PM Me if you want Them

Game Description

Picking up where part 1 left off, DBZ: The Plan to Destroy the Saiyans Part 2 finds Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and Vegita traveling through space to the home of Dr. Raichi, the mastermind behind the Destron Gas incident that the Z Soldiers were up against in part 1. Dr. Raichi is the last of the technological race that the Saiyans wiped off of planet Vegita centuries ago. His desire for vengeance has led him to attempt to destroy the last remaining members of the Saiyan race.

After finding the planet where he resides, the Z team fights and defeats Dr. Raichi, only to discover that they must now face his ultimate creation before they can return home. This game reminds me of the Budokai Series, 1 and 2 both sucked, except there was no pt 3 for this game sadly its otherwise for budokai 3.

DBZ: Ultimate Battle 22 PSX

UB22 Clips

PM me if you want them

Game Description

In this, the first Dragon Ball Z fighting game for a 32-bit video game system, you can fight as any one of 22 different characters from the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z television series, including Songoku, SonGohan, SonGoten, Chibi Trunks, Gotenks, Mirai Trunks, Piccolo, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, The Great Saiyaman, KaiOhShin, Vegeta, Zarbon, Recoom, Ginew, Freeza, Android No. 18, Android No. 16, Cell, Darbura, Majin Boo, Super Boo. With a secret code entered, you can also play as Mr. Satan, Kame-Sennin, Gogeta, SonGoku as a child, and Super Saiyan Level 3 SonGoku. That's 27 characters in all! This is possibly the worst dbz game ever and should be avoided at all cost you have been warned :warning:

DBZ: Legends PSX & Sega Saturn

http://www.planetnintendo.com/superpope/dbzshrine/movies/satlegend3.rm

http://www.planetnintendo.com/superpope/dbzshrine/movies/satlegend4.rm

Game Description

Dragon Ball Z Legends reinacts the great battles of the Dragon Ball Z story, including the battle against Nappa, Vegita, the Ginew Force, Freeza, Androids No. 19 and No. 20, Androids No. 16, No. 17, and No. 18, Cell, Darbura, Buu, Super Buu, and Kid Buu. It's all here. The story unfolds in cinematic sequences between battles. Try to follow as closely to the real story as you can, or pick any 3 of the characters you've beaten so far and fight against your friend and his 3 favorites. This is probally the Best DBZ game in history of the making, the only downfall is that there are no movie characters other than that, this will outsell any dbz game on the market if released in the US.

DBZ: Shin Butoden Sega Saturn

http://www.planetnintendo.com/superpope/dbzshrine/movies/shinbuto4.rm

Game Description

Dragon Ball Z comes to the Saturn with a vengeance! Play as any of 27 different characters! Never before has there been so many different methods of play in a Dragon Ball Z game. Choose from the story mode, versus mode, five man team elimination mode, Tenkaichi-Budokai championship mode, or the very unique Mr. Satan mode, in which you play as Mr. Satan betting on who will win each match. This is the second best dbz game in the making, it may look similar to the Ultimate Battle 22 on PSX but belive me its a whole new game and plays alot better.

Dragon Ball: Final Bout PSX & PC

FB Clips

There not worth seeing but pm if u want them

Game Description

At long last, there is finally a fully 3D polygonal fighter based on the Dragon Ball universe. Choose from many different characters, including Goku, Pan, Chibi Goku, Trunks, Vegita, Freeza, Cel, Boo, Gohan, Piccolo, and a whole bunch of other forms of these same characters, including Super Saiyan Level 4 SonGoku! There is the usual one player mode, two player versus, and a Tenkaichi Budokai mode. This game has caused so much conspiracy its not even funny, its the worst game period not just in dbz history but in gaming history, the buttons are un responsive and everything, i cant belive this game sales for about $150 on ebay and people actually but it. Like I said about Ultimate Battle 22, avoid this game at all cost u have been double warned this time :warning: :warning:

Well those are all the ones i thought were worth listing at the time. If i didnt list it than its probally because i was too lazy and besides you know your favorite game is so that was basically just helping the people out who had never played certian ones and ect. In the meantime lets here your oppions on which dbz game u think is the best ever or if they all sucked too u than say that as well but please dont flame each other oppions :)

the best DBZ games were DBZ Hyper Dimensions(snes), DBZ Supersonic Warriors (GBA), DBZ Legend of the super saiyan (snes), DBZ Gokuden 1 & 2 (snes) since that covered all the story from the first Dragonball Graphic novel to the end of the freiza saga.

DBZ : Legend of the super saiyan

It had the right style (battles could've been better though)
If only they had made a better up-to-date dbz rpg it'd prolly have been good

Its for a console called playdia...heres a pic what it looks like since i do have it..

The only downfall is that only 13 games was made for this console period and this is more of a girl type console, since mostly all the games for it are pretty easy and involves no type of real gameplay antics whatsoever but descion making but it does involves abit of stratgey :laff:

lol I sorta agree with that in some ways since it is sorta easy my mom and sisters can even enjoy it as well but i dont agree with the other half of your statement which is basically saying that girls arent skilled in video games but ill pretend like it never was said ^^..
