whats te best 3D program to use to make these models? this looks so interesting =/

matter of opinion, i can only suggest researching the following.

3d studio max

maya unlimited

I've Tried:

-3dsMax (Easy to Use. Actually i use Gmax but it's almost the same).
-Softimage XSI for HL2 (Learning ,but seems to be complicated).

look arround for a program called Gmax its 3dsmax lil brother, and its free. should be good for you to learn with

You call $7000 a waste of money? Ha! Maya is for people who actually do major work in the industry, like Pixar, but they have their own program... I use a copy of Rhino I got from a friend. Not the greatest for meshes, but I prefer it to 3DStudio and Maya, which I got to play around with at a college open house .

pixar use max as well as maya, i think when your working for those companies, you probably get given the choice...

when you work for the games companies tho, a lot of games support meshes of certain types, so they build exporters for whatever program, so when you work for them you ~HAVE to use that program...

milkSHAPE, its a horrible program, (once youve learned max), its only strong point is its import/export capabilities, and for half life modelling its a must have

and its not free, its 25 bucks
