Now this is killing me,first thing I try to do something,my PC crashes due to overheating, and the fan is working right.I haven't even overclocked anything and its STILL crashing by itself....I haven't checked BIOS yet for any 'irregularities' in my PCs configuration, but some help might be appreciated :)

Windows 2000
Intel Pentium 3 733mHz
128 MB RAM
Intel Graphics 810e HUB

If anyone could help me in advance, then I'd appreciate it,but other than that I might go back to replace this PC with my new one....

Try dusting it out well. dust can easily make your fans not work as well as they are supposed to.

Is their anything in the cooling vent? What about how much power the fan's getting? Also make sure its in an open place, shoving your comp in a box wont help it any :D

Let's just say it's a Tiny model from 1999

Real old but my guess is that my HDD is dying(like Hib pointed out ^^)

Fan is not a prob, but of course,I still need to get permission to open my PC(Yes my parents are that strict)

BTW,I'm getting a new HDD because my sis is *****ing about Windows 2000,I dunno why she wants 98....

 Holy crap on a stick! o_O

You need PERMISSION to open up your PC? :p

My comp used to crash a lot too, that was because it was overheating. Make sure you dust the thing out, and maybe get a new cooler or something. Dusting it out can make all the difference.

Also, only 128 Ram? You should have that upgrade to at least 256. Running more than one program uses RAM and remember Windows 2000 takes up RAM too.

I actually agree with ur sister. Either downgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition or get XP. Millenium and 2000 r crappy OS's. Windows 98 SE and XP r the best in my opinion. 98 dusnt require as much RAM as XP wen running gamz tho. If u still require help, luk on Yahoo or Google for "Online PC help" or "Online PC Troubleshooting"

It's not the OS, 2000 runs esf fine, my friend plays it all the time with 2000. It's either ram.. or his fans aren't doing the job

Question before I try downgrading back to 200....

Can I convert an NTFS file system back to FAT32??

trust me it won't run 98 or any other OS (maybe not XP and Me)on NTFS,it said so on installation....

I think it's possible, but then you'll have to format the whole disk first.
Don't know for sure, though.
