poly vertex movment?! Man try to rig that awsome model! i can rig it for ya if you want =] with biped you can make more natural poses! couse moving vertexes its a screw =] but the pose is awsome for a pose done with vertex movment. its wery hard to achive something good with that method, but you did an briliant job there...

it's basically the same thing, IMO for posing, vertex and poly editing is better than rigging and posing (if teh rigging isn't done too well). only if you know what you were doing that is.

lol its not the same thing, vertex animating things like hands is way harder!. Its very dificult to stretch or to rotate the model. with biped its wery easy

yeah but like he said, when its rigged bad, animations look crappy too. but I agree that vertex animation is really hard. especially on higher poly models ^_^

i don't mean in terms of animating, i mean in terms of posing, and this topic is getting swagged away from the awesome vegetto model, so uh, we can carry on sometime else.

well i did thought about rigging it but i dont know how...so i decided to learn, but then it took way too long and it needs alot of practice so i decided to do the poly editing which worked out pretty awesome, the hands mostly.

so i dont mind editing it around...till ill learn how to rig that is =P

=o i have been planning on doing a sasuke model Iceh!
but i have more ideas in mind that comes first =P hehe
you'll see more of this vegetto with a realistic skin + my teen gohan model reskinned + a new gogeta model ill be working on soon =D

but first thing first eh =D more posessss!

i can help you with rigging (in max) but if its for the esf skelly, ull need to get me a max compatible skelly.

What part of "rigging" is that then if you don't make your won skeleton and assign it to the model with some weight maps.

well best would be that SV learns is with biped since that's something we use for quake 3/zeq2.

and from what i can remember SV will use the skin modifier instead of Physique because with skin it's easyer to controle sertain vertexes.

i always use the skin modifyer... and i do know how to build a skeleton rig :)

if you do need any help, you know where i am buddy.
