trouble installing esf

i downloaded esf 1.2.1 and the patch, but when i go to instal it says "esf could not be found on selected destination. please choose again." i have try'd everything and don't know what to do. someone please help me.

Make sure it's the half-life directory and not ESF, also make sure you are using STEAM and not WON.

what do u mean the half-life directory and not the esf.

I had the exact same problem trying to install the patch but you first need to

install the game befor installing the patch. the patch cant find the real game.

So all you have to do is go find the real game before you download the patch.

First Run At least 1 time Half-Life, Then Download ESF 1.2 http://esf-world.com/download.php?file_id=577.

After installing in C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/YourAccount/Half-life

Download 1.2.1 ESF Patch : http://esf-world.com/download.php?file_id=787

Install in C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/YourAccount/Half-life

And it's Done, Enjoy ESF.

doesn't have to be steem, i dont use steem but still have 1.2.1 in it.
