okok I think I have seen a thread like this before, but I couldn't find it in the search tool..sorry. Whenever I transform I get all the movement of the character, but the other effects like the auras of gold when I go SSJ around my character don't happen. Please tell me how to fix.

It's probably in your advanced customize window that GFX is on low. Put it on high.

I tried doing cl_fxquality 4 and when I went ssj with trunk I still didn't get any effects. and where the hell do I find an "advanced customize window" for my GFX. There is no reference to any GFX in there I don't have any really good video card if that is what I think you are referring to. When I went a second time to the advances customized window I set everything on high, but it still doesn't show anything

cl_fxquality 3 (0/ 1/ 2/ 3 ... there's no 4)
cl_dusttrails 1 (0/ 1)
cl_beamquality 3 (0/ 1/ 2/ 3)

the first command should be enough the let the transformation look better ... but it also drops FPS

can't you see the transformation effects or the effects after transforming ???

tr: try to change your video mode
OpenGL -> Direct3D
Direct3D -> OpenGL

after tr: there ain't any special effects anymore ... it's just like normal state ... just another model/ PL/ KI/ HP/ attacks

okok currently I use "software" in my video modes because openGL doesn't work with my graphics card and Direct 3d makes the fps drop sooooooooo much. I played on with Direct 3d turned recently on and then I saw the tranformation images. So, the problem is that "software" mode doesn't work on, from what I know so far, my trasnformations. I have a ATI 3D RAGE PRO AGP 2X and a pentium three at 897 MHz with 128mb of RAM. If there is a glitch with my comp or with ESF that is causing the computer to lag in Direct 3d or I just can't play transformations with "software" mode please tell.

no ... software mode doesn't support the FX' in ESF ... (transformation is one of them) ... so there'll no fix for this ... if the coders would enable it for you, your HL would crash immediatly ;)
just goto eBay and spent $20 for a new video card ... ESF won't care about softwaremode-users anymore ... sorry

Ehhhhhh, about that new video card? If you have one that you could reccomend to me in relation to the specs that I gave you about my comp what would be a good "$20 dollar" choice? Also, would a better card make up for the processor speed?

for ESF i would recommend GF3 or higher (I dunno ATI that good, yet)
but I'm not sure about the current prices for a GF3
I think 900MHz CPU should be enough for ESF ... it's just the GPU
