regardless of how heavy the weight is ashur, you ARE doing yourself harm, your supposed to lift something comfortably 10-12 times, then take a 45 second rest before doing the next set of reps. if you cant do 10 the object is too heavy, if you can do more than 12 it is too light. and you arent benefitting.
yeah that's the exact same thing I do!
3 sessions of 15 lifts with 30/45 second intervals
if I can do it easily I'd raise the weights the next time I went to the gym.

according to the trainer I had this is the best way to get a good workout with a minimum amount of damage!

same here :)

I do 20 lifts or 15 too, and then take a 45 or minute break, a little different, but good enough i'd say.

Well ashur, you just tie a 1000 killo's block on your back, and to push ups :fight: , i keep it save, at least, as save as i feel it is.

No matter how many exercises you do, your muscles always have a limit, and over-exerting them can and will cause pain, and problems in the future. Why do you think women with such large breasts have back problems later in life?

Good luck with your weight loss goals. If you do actually try, you can do it. I got up and got a job, and I dropped 25 pounds in a few months. Take that into the context of trying to loose weight, and it should be very possible, if you can keep yourself occupied. Try to find something that gets you going (exercise wise), but also interests you. Make it something so that you dont feel like your trying to loose weight, rather just doing something you want to do. It will make it alot easier.

Ontopic: As for regular exercising, No, I don't. I get enough from day to day, working and hauling my 3 tons worth of College textbooks around. I don't really have time to go to a gym or anything.

i'm 16 and i have been weight training on and off for a couple of years, since september 2004, i started taking weighttraining seriously, but sinces the end of november and december, i have stoped for abit because it is simply just too cold to go outside to teh gym (in my garage) and lift up 'that' freezing cold bar

when i was taking it seriously, i could bench press 51.3 kgs (thats the most i could try, the most i got lol)

and like everyday i do weights, like tricep curls and biceps curls (20kgs)

got a 'exercise' for you guys,
put the -o=o- bar behind you head with your arms in the air bside your head, and bring the weight from the back of your head/neck to the sky while keeping your arms beside your head, it is hard for the first couple of days

but the thing i find wierd is that, i can do like 30 - 45 minutes of weight training over a 3 day period and gain alot, in build and in strength within those 3 days, but because i am used to seein' the same muscles everyday, i dont seem bigger, it counts for everyone, to yourself, you dont seem bigger, because you see teh same thing everyday

this is me a few days ago

Well, i will start Karate in january 2005.

These words are quite new to me, because i never used them, so i cant tell everything, but i try.

I lift 2x5kg weights(in each hand...) from down to up 40 times.

lift 2x5kg weights, keeping my arms down and then lift, so that the weights go to my shoulders.

40 stomach muscles, holding 500g weights in both hands

50 push ups

i raise my feet, like im marching, but i dont move 200times.

And i always wear 2kg weights in my feet.

And i walk of cource(i cant run, when im wearing these weights, so i run sometimes)

Today i walked 15km

These are not always daily, because of my lazyness.

Age: I dont know is this so important, but anyway im 14.

Barkarot, when you say 2x5kg do you mean 1kg in each hand or 5kg in each hand?

I currently train in Tai Chi, it taking my 2-3 years to reach the 11th gate.

Yet, spending almost everyday, as usual, focusing on it, I have yet to reach the 12th gate.

As far as physical training goes, I play basketball at a local park for endurance related purposes.

Well, I live in a residence hall on campus that's... damn far from the buildings where classes are held. I want to say a mile, but I think I could be stretching a bit. Well I bike back and forth between my dorm room and classes about 4 or 5 times a day. I'd like to start up aerobics again because I don't think I'm as fit as I can be cardiovascularly. That and me and a good friend are going to go to the campus recreation center to start lifting a bit because we both think we could use a bit more meat on our bones. With luck, I won't get the two of us kicked out of the gym like I got us kicked out of the high school gym for almost breaking a classmates nose by headbutting him >:E

Jayster, maybe it's just a wierd camera angle or the position of the weights, but it looks like your arms are rather large compared to a small chest >_>

Ashur, you may not believe a bunch of guys telling you what can and cannot hurt you when it comes to working out on a gaming forum, but quite a few people have voiced concern about your work out plans. Perhaps asking a professional, like your doctor or a personal trainer would be good?

5kg in each hand.

punches with each leg? Sounds a bit weird to me.
