THE STEAM PROBLEM = SOLVED

OK FOR ANYONE THAT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO GET ESF WORKING ON STEAM .......
HERE IS WHAT TO DO

Step 1 : Uninstall anything to do with esf ...

Step 2 : Get the Steam Esf pack v 2.0 from

http://www.anime-xg.com/download.php?cat=15&ref=0&subref=0

or just http://www.anime-xg.com ( if above does not work )

Step 3 : Get the Esf v1.1 beta ... ( if u dont already have )

Step 4 : Make sure you have the latest version of half-life

Step 5 : Install esf into your steam/steamapps/(your-email)/half-life

Step 6 : Install the Steam Esf pack v2.0 the same place

Step 7 : Play the game :smile:

OR you could just download this file http://pages.sbcglobal.net/akchpfreak/_uimages/fmod.dll
(fmod.dll version 3.6) and replace the one in your Half-Life directory of steam (Eg. C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Your E-mail Here\Half-Life)

P.S. I hoping this will get stickyfied so that there wont be so many "steam doesn't work" posts.

Just thought i would add one thing:
you *can* copy and paste ESF and get it to work, but re-installing is better. All you basically need to do is DISABLE the bots, and ESF will work under steam, even if you just copy and paste the folder. Thats what i did, when it wouldnt work

Yes but some peope have this file that is going around in the Esf : v1.1 beta so this makes it corrupt .....

I have tried your thing and downloaded Esf beta v1.1 from different servers and some work and some dont when using your method.
