Nothing is 100% safe, but it is very safe.

There's always scammers and such, so you have to be careful, but as long as you don't just log in to some fake website when you're being asked to in a fake Paypal-like email, then you'll be fine. Don't give out your password, watch your expenses, etc etc. Just be smart, and you'll be fine.
