The Characters for the DBZ Movie...

What the hell? Ya know, I was just looking at the previous topic closed. And
showing the Characters who will play their roles. Im not 100% if these guy have
real information on who will be playing them. But somewhere along the lines I
kept thinking of Eliza Dushku, and what do you know? She happends to be chosen
for Chi Chi (I was thinking Chi Chi could be Lucy Liu at best)...

Then I see Bill playing Nappa, LOL, Im not into wrestling but I know who that
guy is, and I cant wait to see him try to act out Nappa! Also I think they made
a good choice for Vegeta's character (Ray Park), but a bad choice for Radditz.

According to Saiyanz Rage, a source within 20th Century Fox has posted the following:

FOX is shooting for a PG-13 rating and a running time of somewhere between 3 to 4 hours. They are hoping for the DBZ movie saga to be 4 episodes long (4 movies). Starting in The Saiyan Saga, The Frieza Saga, The Android/Cell Saga, and the Majin Buu Saga.
George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special effects. Some sad news, due to casting and scheduling difficulties, filming that was set to begin real soon has been put off until Summer 2004. The original Release Date. Once the movie is finished filming and all post-production effects are added in, this movie may not be out until well into 2005.

As of right now there is no definite title. The most obvious choice would be plain "DragonBall Z", but FOX is also leaning toward "DragonBall Z: Unlimited" or "DragonBall Z: Fight For Man Kind."

Jesus dude, I'm tired of everyone arguing about whether or not it will or will not be made...there is speculation, that is all. Nothing can be confirmed no matter how many unofficial sources you give it doesn't mean its real. But that doesn't mean bash it.

Now I believe this thread was made to talk about possible actors in the movie.

Simply state who you think would be good, or if you think that the ppl that the UNOFFICIAL sources says would be good at the rolls. No need to ***** each other out for some ***ness like this.

I personally dont think that any of those ppl would do this movie, but who knows.
I'd love to see goldberg as nappa, I think he'd make a good char.

i dunno about this man. ive been hearing about this movie for a while now. even heard things like danny devito was gonna be that fat guy with the long hair, whos with coren alot (who knows?) but seriously though. All these big name actors are gonna make the movies right? What are the odds that they all watch the show? Can you see them screaming and acting constipated and stuff? Cause i cant! I just cant imagine it. I dunno i hope they get the FX right atleast, like in the third matrix. That fight scene was so DBZ. I saw it with my friends and we were all freaking out about how exactly like dbz it was. So i dunno i guess it can be done, i just hope they do a good job. (pg 13 means its gonna be really cheesy by the way)

I think that threads about the movie as if it were really in production is just retarded. It's one thing to start one and say "okay, so, who would be good to play this person?" But this whole...debating the quality of the absurd actors that have been being batted around.

Plus, in general, I'm very weary of seeing the same five names batted around. Personally, for instance, I'd like to see Brendan Frasier do Goku, and Hugo Weaving as the face of Super Buu or as Frieza.

See? Now you may not agree in the slightest but at least that's fresh thinking.

Granted Goldberg isnt a Sean Connery...but I think he'd do alright in a role where he's supposed to be a rather dull overconfident lackey...

I dont like much the idea of Brendan Frasier as Goku...something about him just isn't Gokuish enough for me. I can't really think of very many famous actors that would be good in this supposed movie, so I would suggest getting mainly no-names that actually have martial arts skills...just a thought

it was called "ready to rumble" with Jack Black i think it hda in there...
quite a funny film lol

anyway on topic...on the site (up above) it said it has been held until summer 2004 so tehre is no need to worrie about something that is no were near performing yet...

Personally i think DBZ should be left alone, it's an anime, you just don't make a 'real' movie about it.. :S
Couldn't care less who they choose to play wich character, i mean c'mon , can you imagine ANY serious actor hang in the air for 5 min, screaming at the top of his lungs untill his hair turns blond? Cool in an anime, but leave it at that..

Unless the filmmakers get a VERY big budget, this movie is gonna be Uber crappy no matter what.. :no: :tired:
