I was wondering, how do you feel about Morrowind compared to Oblivion? My personal opinion is that Oblivion has the looks, but Morrowind makes up for that with the storyline. In fact, yesterday I crashed to desktop again, and decided to play Morrowind instead ^^

I've become so much more involved in Oblivion than I ever was in Morrowind, but, Morrowind just has something that Oblivion doesn't. I can't put my finger on it.

I liked morrowind allot, story-wise, it was big, it had a great atmosphere.

I think its because you were in a world that was ruled by dark elves (dunmer), and their architecture was just very interesting to watch. (like a building, created out of a gigantic shell of an insect), not something you see every day.

And Oblivion, well its nice (heck, its awesome), I love the atmosphere the game has, the graphics are (ofcourse) awesome, with all the trees/grass moving, and more, and lets not forget the NPC's, they all speak to you, instead of giving you a piece of text to read.

But still, Morrowind did have a better story (imo).

Ok...any of the darkbrotherhood people able to help me? I'm trying to do the first Assassin mission (or whichever it is, the one where you need to kill Valen Dreth in the Imperial Prison). Well, I get to the part where you first meet some guards, they are talking, I wait till they are gone so I can sneak ahead. Anyway, in the next room you need to get on some stairs, but there is always a guard next to those stairs and I can't get past him without killing the him, and I don't want to kill the guard because I want to get the bonus, what can I do?

Or walk to the opposite side of the stairs, and jump up, worked for me. I have not used any invisibility spells or whatsoever in the DB or TG quests, only sneak.

@Jp: I don't have 1200 hours to spare. Wasting 12 hours is a big deal for me. Get a job if you have that much time.

I didn't even know Morrowind had a story until someone told me. I would just jump everywhere until I ran out of stamina and then I would walk to the nearest town. Eventually, I just started raiding towns. Balmora was a ghost town in less than 30 minutes.

I remember at one point I found that guy without a shirt in his house and I fisticuffed him until he died. It pretty much said I ruined the entire game so I accepted my fate and deleted the game.

If he wants to be upset, let him be upset. Let's stop the bickering now.

It depends on how you use those 1200 hours, if you play 12 hours a day, okay, then I agree with you, but I played it allmost a year long (or longer), so that's... an average 3 hours per day, or, 1 hour per day, a few days not at all, in the weekend a bit more... if ya get what I mean.;)

I did (and still) go to school, not all the time to play Morrowind, same for Oblivion.

So might take a year before I actually finish the game.:p

just run through everyone, you can be detected, just dont kill any

also, oblivion generates new forests every time you start a new game.

Will people go back to liking you if go without feeding to become strong then feed once you no longer need the added strength? I'm taking people's stuff as it is, so I may as well just start taking their blood while I'm at it. I would need to find myself a new vampire though, I seem to have killed the one that liked me.

You killed Vincente eh ? Me too.

I'm still looking for a vampire that could provide me with more info.

Just do the cure for vampirism quest. After you get the potion, the guy you got it for offers to give you 250 gold or turn you into a vampire.

Has anybody done the arcane university quest where you have to cast spells at that column? I've gotten the first two, fire and ice, but I can't figure out what the third and fourth spells I'm supposed to use.

lol.

the elf guy, in the room before, he has spell scrolls in the chest near him, i think its fire, ice, then the fortify magic and diminish magic spells.

save it. pick up the scrolls... or follow his advice and talk to the girl in the other room with the translation book :O

but yea, its the fire ice and fortify/damage magicka scrolls in the chest.
