there's a part of my experiment about use huge size HL map on esf......but not so well, it almost make me crash.

there's the example....






PS: it's really extremely huge............but look like it's been sucessed..

map name : giftest4f

That map is nog bigger then any other hl map. Maybe the scale is different, but the map is not.

The difference in fps is caused by more detail since its a svencoop map.

Yeah, it looks no different from before.

If you're talking about getting sven coop maps in ESF, that trick has been done before.

The maps aren't really that big.

It's just that the character models are so small.

That's why the maps look so big. Different perspective.

Yes, you can play any Half-Life 1 mod's maps to an effect on any other Half-Life 1 mod. ESF is no different.

no...u need to remove the map, also u need the wad to launch it.....a lot of work...

i cant play the HL mod on esf unless i fix some part(u need MAX.Wad and map script)

Copying a WAD file aint realy that mutch work >.>

In case you dont know wad files = map textures so that realy no t that mutch work.

As for the maps itself. Standard mod maps use standard HL entities thus are compatible with other mods. Actualy all youd normaly need to do is copy the bsp and wad files along with models. That is all. No big deal.


And befor you say something. All multiplayer maps have the same starting entities. Meaning the maps with only the basic (start entities, lights, dors, buttons...) work on all mods. No script needed for that >.>
