alrighty, this wont really help with the 1.2 style melee, but it could be used for the 1.2 1.1 style melee.
for those of you that have played Super Smash Bros. you are familiar with this type of block.
for those of you who havent played it, if you block for too long, or too often, your block will break and you will become vulnerable for a short period of time.
since the 1.2 melee will be more along the lines smaller hits and not powerhousing like 1.1 it wont be very easy to implement for 1.2.
sooo for now ill just suggest this for the 1.1 cvar in 1.2
ok, now to get to the point....
if you block too often or too long your block is broken and you become stunned just like Smash Bros. (this is only vs melee, so you can still block beams as often as you like).
so for example:
player A blocks player B's melee strike.
player A keeps comes into the same situation in a short period of time and blocks again.
this happens 3 or 4 times, and player A's block is avoided and he gets a bop on the chin stunning him. player B is now free to do whatever he wants to player A for x amount of time.
this wont apply to people that block once every 5 minutes.... only for people that block constantly lets say like.... 4 times in under a minute. granted not too many people block.
the amount of time you can block could be based on powerlevel.
a higher PL can block a lower PL for longer, and visa vera.
meeeh, this might not be that fair, just figured id share it.
