Sakurai starts by saying there wont be any manga characters. Then he begins talking about other companies characters to appear in the game. Among other things, Sakurai says that the character MUST have appeared on a Nintendo platform before. And to literally translate the last sentence (keep in mind this is in reference to the characters from other companies): "Anyways, at most we'll add another 1-2 characters [after Snake], maybe?"

Sakurai said in response to a person complaining that SSBM is too fast: "Don't worry, the speed of the game will "be moderated" a little bit. When I asked "Could we allow more freedom in the aerial battles?" Everyone on my team agreed, so we are refining every character's ability from the very beginning"

"This time, we'd like to stress easiness over the small details of combat, so overall it might become somewhat easier."

all this stuff was said by Sakurai the game creator. i can post more info if you'd like.

I don't understand why anyone cares if they make the game easier, skill isn't going to change if they make it easier to do things.

You'll still get your ass raped by someone who can use the 'easier' functions better than you, so don't worry about it.

I am waiting for that one stage with destructible platforms caused by players, shown in one of the trailers.

Meteor smashing someone through a platform to their death will bring me such joy.

Dr. Wright

What? You mean THAT Dr. Wright? The one from the SNES version of SimCity? Well, I guess Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the kind of game where anyone can show up and anything can happen!

"Hold on a second! What are you guys doing here?!"

"Starting today, you?re the mayor!"

Suddenly, skyscrapers pop up out of nowhere!

Fighters are completely blown away by the skyscrapers that just shot up underneath them.

Awesome. Now THAT?S what I call city-building.

I can honestly say I never, not even in my wildest dreams, would have imagined they'd put HIM in the game.

I guess this means pretty much anyone is fair game, lol. Well, as long as they've appeared on a Nintendo system before, that is.

Hmmm...Obscure Nintendo character..Obscure Nintendo character...

If Waddle Dee is an Assist Trophy, I will smile. A Custom Robo and/or Gotcha Force Cameo would surprise me too.

Much, much, much better than a 2008 release. This gives me time to get a Wii.

NOW, I have just came across some rather interesting speculation.

Reggie, who was handling the Nintendo E3 conference, was talking about Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. Then he instantly transists to talking about Brawl when he says something like "that fight will turn in to a brawl".

Now does this mean he was referring to the fight between Sonic and Mario and hinting that they will get to fight in SSBB? I hope so.

That's what I am curious about, but what else could he mean by "that fight"?

I think that your strong desire for Sonic being in the game makes you want hear things unnoticed by other people.

the easiest way to make something easier is to take out hard stuff, thats why people care. I don't like to be good at games so i can pwn my friends, i like it because it generally takes skill and thought. I don't want to do a bunch of easy stuff and win, thats boring.

After having made two games that are entirely based on skill, and now they're even implementing more moves (think improved aerial combat for instance) and more variety, you really think they're just going to forget about the old style and make this a game your mom could own you at? No way in hell.
