steam crashes when i connect

ok, ever since i installed steam ESF 1.2, it crashed either right when i get in the game, or right before the screen goes up when u are done precaching resources. what do i do????

Try these, and if it still dont work, then, i dunno o_o

1.Uninstall esf, then steam and then delete what ever is left in the "Steam" folder manualy
2.Reinstall steam and esf
3.Fully patch steam/half-life/esf

I noticed that the error was due to client.dll

You could try that - save it in your halflife directory and give it another go.

Also, try switching video modes - but don't use software.
