Artistic pays with much more than just money. If you get good enough you can get payed too, I mean I myself at a very amature level have already had 2 commissions. My aunt sells her prints from anywhere from £200 to £2000, they're prints of crows, not to mention she also works at Dundee University. It also depends which area of "art" you wanna get into, i mean, design and art are closely related, and in this day and age graphic design is everywhere.

meh, dont do enough of these, did 2 this morning while waking up =P

10 min warmup:

25 mins:

That and using a mouse is a ***** =\ you should go look for a tablet on the cheap, thats what i did =P i got a 6" by 8" tablet for only £30 (which is something like $20) i did get mine in a sale though :x, its not amazing or anything but it gets the job done. I remember trying to use my mouse to paint... it just gave me hand cramp. Maybe there's something on ebay D:

Omg i was only kidding, they'll hunt you down if you even suggest the word.
So my bad.

Ehm theme... i was gonna say it again but then it came back i mentioned it already... hmm let me think... nope... female people?

No seriously let's scramble some ideas. Take them as broad as possible.
Let's say animals or fighting or whatever. Fighting is already harder to do unless you want em to make stick figures...

Thats pretty nice FCX, I like the pose, you're pretty good at drawing hands D: but eh, i'd recommend using a much bigger brush next time, try to use the biggest size you can, it means you use better stroke economy. Some area's you've used a small brush and it must have taken you ages to cover it, with a big brush, you could cover the area with one stroke. http://itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm look at the part - flattening and simplifying

here's my latest speed paint, 20 - 25 mins, playing around with colours after reading through http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=45647 his stuff is truely amazing.... anyhows:

Thanks but the thing is,
I'm using procreate painter classic and it has no good brush's.
Photoshop CS does not work with my tablets pressure sensitivity.
I have Photoshop Elements 2.0 with my tablets bundle CD but it says it needs IE 4.0 or higher when I have 6 >_>

Thanks for the site, its really usefull.
an example of my only usefull brush, the larger more blurred it gets.
