Sound problem

The sounds are really crapy in esf dont know what to do!
It says Unable to initaliaze DirectSoundCapture.Trying wavlen
Then game starts but sounds sure stinks!!!Its like i hear them but with some weird sound at the same time(like some one does gas attack)
Plz help me i cant play the iligal operation thing always comes out!!!

hmm did u change any sounds? if so pls reinstall then...
if not.. i have no clue of what is wrong but check ur audio settings...

no man i didnt install any new sounds
I reinstalled Hl Cs ESF i think 10 times each...Even 1 time windows itself
but nothing man

After you reinstalled windows, did you dl ESF from somewhere else or from the same host?

Cuz it could be that the sounds of your installation file are messed up. Thats why maybe it will work if you dl it from another host.

I'm not sure if this will work, cuz I've never heard of this problem before but u could give it a try.

Use a search engine like www.google.com to find the driver and then install the latest driver that the company released.

Its build in mother board..
I think its sound blaster ...But how do i know that there are new drives???

Its so strange... HL runs perfectly withg good sounds in yearly versions but when i upgrade it up to the 1.1.09 and 1.1.10 it happens -(

Try installing 1.1.1.0 over a fresh installation of Half Life straight away instead of upgrading from 1.1.0.9, and then install ESF. Upgrading from .1.0 to .0.9 could have messed something up.

My ESF is not running ok!
I can hear music, but sound comes later, it's not synchronized. I 'd fix it before, when mod couldn't play sound.
What can I do to fix it? :cry:
In all game created console shows up "Tracker.dll is invalid" :S

Would it be the problem?

Just rename ure Tracker.dll

@ relaXXX if you want to find out what soundcard you have. follow these instructions

Hit Start
Then click on Run...
When the run window pops up type in "dxdiag"
(should take a while to load up unless you have a fast computer)
Then click on the sound tab and the name should be at the top.

Then make a search for your drivers on google.
