Sound Problem

Hello, i reinstalled esf and this did not fix my problem, i have this problem when i play for a while the sounds get all distorted and even sometimes in advance melee theres no sound until after the push off. is there a fix for this?, the sound on anything sounds like their gurgling water or something. it gets annouying after a while and no my sounds are no corrupted or else it would be like that the WHOLE time not just after like the first half of gameplay

i use steam so theres the auto update

update your sound drivers. Also it might be you are using too many system resources, try shutting off some programs you dont need.

drivers ARE old but i keep them old because the newer ones make my speakers have this high hiss/static sound and also sound like the harddrive thinking so i keep my current drivers. this never happened before only recently

Would it help if i was able to get a video clip from ingame of the sound problem? and if so where is the tutorial on converting the video to divx if theres one on the forums i forget if there is or isnt one

Im pretty sure it's drivers, but.. Check to make sure the sound card, if you have one, is firmly secured in the pci slot. Make sure the high quality sound option is checked, or try toggling/turning off the option. Also try testing with the EAX options, check/uncheck depending on what you have.
