Sound artist software

Hey I was just wondering what software soundartists use...I am kinda interested in figuring out how to be a soundartist etc... Can somone help me out? I saw some progs like Vogone to remove voice from music etc...Also, what are some features to look for in sound artist software as well as what software you would recomend

Well... Adobe Premiere has some diff effects... Goldwave is a free program and pretty good I suppose

This sin't anything good I'm just tossing out ideas.
