Yeah, my run was about 20 hours as well (On Solid Normal). It's a brilliant game, well worth the wait and it actually lived up to the hype.

Its a pretty sweet game. ****ing flooding put my friends internet out so we cant play online yet :/

It is an awsome game, but I'm dissapointed that its rather short,

16 hours of play time and hes on the last act. I'm sure the last few cut scenes will easily add another hour at least.

Hes pissed at me because i beat all the bosses for him on my first try.

Vamp was a cool fight though.

spoiler[You have to CQC him, equip the syringe, get him in a choke hold and press triangle to inject him with the syringe, there will be a mini cutscene that confirms that you in injected him. Its easier to CQC him with his stamina down, or just kill him once and when he ressurects stand behind him and grab him]/end spoiler

Considering how short MGS1 was, I'm not disappointed with the length at all. Just finished Act 3.

i am curently on my second play through but on solid normal protip: load your epilogue save data to restart the game with all your stuff from the last game when you meet up with the Mk2. also i am trying to get all the BB corps dolls in this game ( you have to depleate thier stamina down in beast forms and collect the doll before the first 3 minutes in to the second fight)there are 5 dolls for the last doll is in the first act when you meet the frogs you need to not kill any of them to get it. you get a sweet solar gun "the perfect stun gun"i bought the stratagy guide when the game came out as well only used it once and that was with the vamp fight after 20 minutes of wasting my m4 custom's ammo.

Back in MGS2 we hated Raiden, now Kojima made him a badass cyborg ninja with artificial blood and as a laugh wont let us play as him. I thought it would happen xD

Maybe he is playable on a later release ( In the same manner as in Substance ). Because after all, this possible release would be the ultimate and final release of MGS4.

right all you raiden fans lissen to this during the breifings use the mk2 and ram in to cambell to unlock the cambel face camo, otocon for the otocon face cammo, ram sunny for the Cyborg raiden (mask open) face cammo there is a cyborg raiden (mask closed) cammo but i can't remember it

21 hours of playtime. 21 hours of awesome. I personally liked the ending. The long explanation kind of threw the pace off, but I was awesome nonetheless. So much **** happened I don't know what to say. I gotta play MGS 1 and 3 now.

I can now respect the Old Snake look, but all I can say is thank Kojima for FaceCamo

opty remember to tranq the Beasts in beast mode to get the Solar Gun ( awsome stun gun) by collecting the statues during the first stage of the human beast fight and don't kill any frogs in the Hotel

Does the game go by much faster the second try through? How long did it take you to beat the game the first time?

I believe I received got a cow emblem as one of my achievements, so no alerts for me is gonna be fun =(

Around the same as you Chakra, somewhere between 20 and 21 hours, this time it's going much faster for a few reasons.

One, I'm dying less, aka, not at all.

Secondly, I'm skipping cut-scenes, with the exception of the Vamp-Raiden fight.

And thanks Vaga, I am making sure to kill the beast forms non-lethal and collect the dolls.
