Its been a while since I had the time to do some 3D again (baby no2 on the way... loads of redecorating)
anyway! here's an max viewport grab (coz im saving the good-stuff for later ;)) of what i've been doing for the past few days.

Yes I'm well aware of the clipping of certain things (like a bigass sword poking through his cape).
and the wind was a bit to turbulent for the cape but nothing that can't be fixed In future revisions :)

just upped a new version, less intersections with the new cloth sim, and a particle system that attracts particles to his sword.

RENDER IT!

Also I don't like when it goes top view, kinda ruins the other shots. Maybe you should make the camera turn from top view and land back in front of the character.

looks pretty good, but i didn't notice the particals moving around the sword, perhapse too subtle?

thanks man,
the effect is at 0:40ish. but the particles are displayed as blue ticks atm and due to the compression they nearly blur out against the gray background.
