yeh, the dragonballs can only bring back people that were killed within one years time.

And the series would have gotten a lot crazier if all the saiyans came back.

they would have gone stronger like cell who was killed and then his pl was multiplied, oh wait he had a little cell which regenates him and that didnt died, and they were completely killed...

but they could have been fighting in hell, so who knows...

hehe 6 billions super saiyajins... that would be fun!!!!

DAMMIT I totally forgot about it!

But what about Brolly? rumor has he's the legendary SSJ who destroyed himself because of his huge power that Vegeta talked about once. I'd like to know he managed to survive. Could it be he escaped at the last minute like Goku did on Namek?

Some SPOILERS here, just warning you.

Brolli was born at the same time as Goku and actually slept in a crib right next to his in a medical centre on planet Vegeta, only a little while before the planet was blown up. Because Brolli's birth powerlevel was so great, bigger than most average Saiya-Jins and over twice that of Vegeta's, King Vegeta order Brolli's death.

Both Brolli and his father were cast outside of the city like trash however when Frieza destroyed planet Vegeta, Brolli's strength created a Ki Shield which protected both him and his father.

After years and years Brolli became more and more unstable, forcing his father to employ a mind control device just to stop his mindless destruction. In the 1st Brolli Movie Brolli's father summons Vegeta to a planet he had taken control of, tricking him into thinking he was going to give him back the Saiya-Jin empire while in reality he only wanted to keep him there until a comet hit the planet, taking Vegeta and any chance of losing Brolli with it.

The problem was that Goku had severely affected Brolli as a child, his insecent crying drove Brolli out of his mind and just the sight of Goku caused Brolli to feel great rage. Somehow this rage allowed him to break free of his control and go after his revenge on Goku. That broke Brolli's father's plans, Brolli was unmasked and that led to the realisation of his father's plans.

And so ends the history of Brolli, I'll leave what happens at the end of the movie to your imagination since I don't want to spoil the whole thing. ;)

Yeah that's the supposed story of Brolli. But none of the stuff in the movies happened. Brolli may have existed, but he ended up destroying himself before he ever met Goku.

They "THOUGHT" that he destroyed himself, it's just a rumour, that is all.

Soon, they found out the rumour isn't a rumour at all. :)

The events in the DBZ movies are seperate from the events in the series... the movies are like alternet universes. Vegeta says that the legendary super saiyan couldnt control his great power and blew him self up during the frieza saga, therefore, that is what happened.

so if you ever see something in the series that is contradicted in a movie, what is said in the series overrides anything said in the movie.

However sometimes the show contradicts itself. For instance:

King Kai told Goku that the Saiya-Jin's homeworld was destroyed by it's guardian who brought comets to hit it in order to wipe out the evil race. This is King Kai, an actual god who is supposed to know everything that happens in his quarter of the universe.

Vegeta, Frieza and pretty much everyone else know that planet Vegeta was destroyed by the evil tyrant Frieza. It's also shown happening in the series and in the Bardock Special.

(Actually the two Specials can be taken as fact, they happen within the boundaries of the show. :))

Yes, i guess i cant argue with that. There are some things here and there that dont fit. For instance, Supreme Kai...(the person as a whole)supposedly "Supreme" yet he is a bumbling idiot who doesnt even know about the saiyans and there power, or any knowledge of anything thats been happening on earth. guess you kinda have to take everything with a grain of salt.(or however that saying goes)

Actually, the "first super saiyan" was in reference to a saiyan 300 (possibly 3,000, It's been awhile since I've seen the Namek saga) that was born in the super saiyan form, and his immense power destroyed himself. Brolli was the second super saiyan. Also born in the super saiyan form and with a power level higher than any child.... Just thought I'd correct that point.

And Glinda: Only some of the movies should truly be considered in "alternate universes". Some of them fit into the series fine. And for the sake of keeping a flame war from beginning, I won't specify which ones.

As a rule: Do not try to figure out dragonball Z. You'll just end up back at square 1 with a headache. It wasn't the most thought out plot ever, if you know what I mean.

lol, I know what you mean... much love.

I dont like how Brolli died. Sure, he's powerful.. but as a kid he got a ****ing dagger thru the heart! You can be as powerful as you want but having your heart and lungs punctured, you are NOT gonna recover. But, oh well, atleast he made for good fights :D

My understanding was that he was the 2nd SSJ, the first being the golden Oozaru creature that destroyed itself.

All the saiyans coming back to life? SAIYANS VS HUMANS! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF! WOOO!
Question is.. what side would Vegeta be on?? ;)

Even if all the saiyans HAD been resurected, they would have appeared in space where planet Vegeta was.... Very messy.

And Vegeta would be on the side of the saiyans, cuz he still hated everybodies guts at the time.

And by the way, wtf are you talkin about?!?! Dagger through the heart!! Puh! You even whatched the movie or just read some crap from a garbage fan site?

You guys, this is all a TV show...
We don't have to examine everything in immense detail, we're not forensic scientists trying to uncover the mysteries of DBZ. :p
Not all storylines match up, but that's okay becuase none of it is real anyway. :p

I'd shoot myself if I was forensic scientist. Lets see the ballistics on that.

And no, it's not all a TV show... it's a manga first, THEN it's an anime, THEN it's a TV show (dubbed by the lame-brains here in North America), and before it's a TV show it's movies... lots and lots of movies.

I know that...my point was none of this is real anyway, so why argue about what happened when and why...

Anyway, did Toriyama make the movies as mangas first as well?
Never seen any DBZ movie mangas, those would be nice to have.

True, but how come that they could breathe in space right before Frieza destroyed they're planet? Because Bardok and at some point you can see that, he's at about 10 meters from Frieza's ship before he launched his last attack.

King Kaï even said once that Frieza(plus his family) is the only one that can breathe everywhere.

also....

I find that they should make the movies about saga to saga or some long ones like Frieza or Cell saga in to parts and not some s**t they suck out of they're thumbs!!
Because the movies don't all resemble to the series. To us who know enough about it it can be fun, but it can be verry confusing for people who just start watching DBZ.
